Describe which different subjects in school you might need to use a spreadsheet for, and what you would use it for in that subject.

Watch the powerpoint, and explain what each of the following things are on the spreadsheet:
- Letters at the top
- columns
- Numbers down the side
- rows
- Cell reference
- each cell has a unique cell reference e.g D11
- Active cell
- the cell that continues the value that is being used or moderfied in a spreadsheet
- formula
- what it = to
- =
- start with = then crate the formula
- +
- to add something, use
- -
- to subtract something, use
- *
- to mltiply something, use
- /
- to divide something, use
- Pick a topic to survey the class on e.g. favourite takeway, favourite tryp of animal, pets, tutor class, house, favourite TV program, sports played....
- Survey the class, and write your results on a piece of paper
- Open Microsoft Excel
- Make a table of your results in a new excel e.g. see the example below:
- Make sure you change the headings to bold / italics, put a border around your table, and change the backgof your survey.
- Give it a title
- Label the round colour, just like the example picture.
- Make a column graph axis
- Change the background to a different colour, or put a picture in
- See how many other graphs you can make of your survey data - make sure they all have titles, take away the legend if its not needed, and make them look good!
